Who is responsible

Editorial Accountability

See who publishes YouMatter, how source checks and human reviews differ, how conflicts are handled, and which guides remain unapproved.

In brief: Mello Zone Furry Community publishes YouMatter through its Mello Zone Cares project. The site is a support-resource navigator, not a clinic, crisis service, or counseling authority.

Furry community members compare calm support pathways for editorial accountability

Publisher and project ownership

Mello Zone Furry Community is the accountable publisher. YouMatter is the public support-navigation project within Mello Zone Cares. Outside organizations operate every listed service and remain responsible for their own staff, eligibility, availability, privacy, accessibility, and response.

Mello Zone community members, moderators, and contributors are not presented as clinicians or emergency responders. Publishing a profile does not create a care relationship or make Mello Zone the provider.

Editorial roles and their limits

A trustworthy review record separates factual source checking from professional clinical review. One does not stand in for the other.

Publisher

Mello Zone Furry Community owns the project, maintains the theme, sets editorial boundaries, and is accountable for corrections and disclosures.

Resource-profile editor

Compares decision fields against current official provider or government sources. This role checks navigation facts; it does not diagnose, recommend treatment, or certify a provider.

Named human reviewer

A major health or safety guide requires a real named reviewer with relevant stated credentials and a dated approval. The theme never invents a reviewer, qualification, or approval.

Current review status

Provider profiles display their source trail, verification date, review method, and next review deadline. Major guides without a named credentialed approval visibly say “Pending human review” and remain noindex.

  • A source check confirms that stated facts match cited primary sources on the recorded date.
  • A human review evaluates a major guide within the reviewer’s disclosed area of competence.
  • No page should imply that source verification is medical endorsement.
  • When an actual reviewer is appointed, their name, relevant credentials, scope, review date, and conflicts must be published with the approved guide.

Funding, advertising, and conflicts

YouMatter does not sell provider placement or treat advertising as evidence that a service is appropriate. A listing is an informational starting point, not an endorsement.

Advertising, analytics, sponsorship, affiliate relationships, donated services, or other material support must be disclosed when present and must not control a provider profile’s inclusion, comparison, limitations, or correction status.

Questions and accountability contact

Use the Mello Zone contact route for questions about ownership, editorial decisions, reviewer disclosures, funding, or conflicts. Do not include private health details or use this route for crisis support.
