The publishing boundary
“How does this affect furry or community life?” belongs on Mello Zone. “Where or how do I get support?” belongs on YouMatter.
- Fandom culture, identity, belonging, and community analysis stay on Mello Zone.
- Symptoms, treatment, crisis intervention, suicide support, therapist-finding, and clinical-resource navigation belong on YouMatter.
- A Mello Zone article may include a contextual box that points readers to YouMatter for actual support.
A practical example
An article such as “Trauma and Furry Fandom: Escape, Identity and Belonging” stays on Mello Zone when its primary purpose is community experience and cultural analysis. Its support box can say: “Looking for actual mental-health or crisis support? Visit YouMatter.”
How resources are reviewed
A provider profile is eligible for indexing only when its official source trail supports the provider identity, intended audience, service role, geography, availability, contact routes, languages, eligibility, cost, privacy considerations, limitations, alternatives, and verification date.
YouMatter does not publish a profile merely because the provider is well known. The profile must make a real navigation decision easier by combining verified facts, meaningful comparison context, and a direct route back to the provider.
A provider review expires after 45 days. The theme automatically marks an overdue profile noindex until its primary sources and review date are updated.
- Use primary provider or government sources for decision-critical claims.
- Separate crisis, peer, referral, professional, treatment, and emergency roles.
- State what the service does not provide and offer relevant alternatives.
- Flag time-sensitive details and direct readers to the current official page.
- Correct, noindex, or remove a page when its required fields cannot be verified or its 45-day review window expires.
- Never sell placement as an editorial recommendation.
The major-guide publication gate
Major guides must document their purpose, original contribution, and comparison against existing search results. They must also be approved by a named human reviewer with relevant stated credentials before they are eligible for indexing.
The theme does not invent reviewer names, qualifications, or approval dates. Until approval is recorded, the guide displays its pending status and sends a noindex directive through WordPress and Rank Math. Approved reviews expire after 180 days and must then be renewed.
- A source check is recorded separately from human approval.
- Reviewer identity and review date are visible after genuine approval.
- A long article does not pass merely because it has more words.
- No unsupported health claim can be used to fill an evidence gap.
